Since our ancestors’ period in ancient times, we have been eating rice. Now we are innovating rice into a form that can be fun and delicious, so it can be consumed during various activities that fit our current modern lifestyle.
“Delicious, Reliable & Safe” food products can be produced as we are using sustainable Japanese domestic ingredients.
Rice is an essential part of the Asian table and sustenance for our bodies. Through our innovation, we can maintain this tradition and also support the future of rice as a good food source for new generations.
We aim to create foods that are good for your body and mind, so you can be healthy, happy and safe.

About Our Ingredients

Healthy confectionery that everyone can enjoy safely

We produce confectionery that everyone can enjoy safely. Children with allergies or adults with restricted diets can also enjoy them.
Only plant-based raw ingredients are used and we do not use white sugar or animal fats and oils which burdens our bodies.
The 3 major allergens which are “wheat flour, eggs and dairy products” are completed omitted and only 100% rice flour from our local Kagawa Prefecture is used.
From the moment you eat our confectionery, we hope everyone can have a delicious and enjoyable time with a smile.

NOGI’s Workshop

We bake with love – like a mother making sweets for her beloved child

Although our workshop does not bring in eggs, dairy products or wheat, some of the tiny wheat particles may be adhered onto clothing and entered the workshop. Hence, we take careful measures to use adhesive lint rollers and a double wall of air shower to reduce these problems.
In addition, we regularly check the production line to avoid gluten-casein contamination on our products, so that we can produce confectionery that you can enjoy with relaxed confidence.
Our staff are mainly women and they bake with love, just like a mother making delicious sweets for her children.

Confectionery

We use 100% rice flour to produce healthy, safe and delicious sweets under our brand “Sweets Aid” which everyone can enjoy safely. We manufacture confectionery products without using wheat, eggs or dairy for retail and wholesale.

Cuisine

We hold study groups in Japan to discuss healthy cuisine using rice or rice flour which is suitable for people with allergies or those who are interested in such cooking methods.
In addition, we provide recipe production and advice on rice flour or vegetable dishes in Japan.

Food Education

We have also invited many professors in these related fields to educate and convey our ideals of the importance of everyday home cooking.
Many people have participated in these seminars which is also a good place for information exchange and discussion.

FAQ

We will answer some of the frequently asked questions about products here.

Q.1Are your products completely allergy-free?
We do not bring in any wheat flour, eggs, dairy products, soba buckwheat or animal-based ingredients into our factory and do not use any line production equipment.
Our products have gone through food inspection which confirms that there is no contamination by wheat or dairy products on data.
However, we regret that is not possible to say that there is completely no contamination from certain allergens as they may come from outside our premise since it is unavoidable that our suppliers may have facilities which handle wheat, eggs or dairy products.
In addition, our workshop manufactures products that contain soybeans, walnuts, cashew nuts, oranges and bananas. While we ensure the cleaning of our equipment after each batch, it is not possible to eliminate all allergens.
Q.2Do you use food additives??
The only food additives used are "Aluminum Free Baking Powder (Wheat-free)" or a glucose compound "Trehalose".

Q.3Do you use white sugar?
No white sugar is used at all.
The only sugars used are:
Raw refined sugar which contains a lot of minerals as it is made from few purification processes.
Granulated beet sugar which is made from the sugar beet and contains a lot of minerals.
Sweet rice wine which is made from only rice. It contains many amino acids and healthy group B vitamins.
Q.3Is radiation test done for your products?
Only some products are required to conduct regular radiation tests. However, we use only raw materials from western Japan or overseas, so it is not required. Please check the product page for the production areas of individual ingredients.
Q.4What is the nutritional value or list of allergens of your products?
Please refer to the product details on each product page. We will continue to analyze and publish such information for more products from time to time.
Q.5What type of rice flour is used?
The rice flour is made from the Omoi or Hinokari rice that is eaten in Kagawa Prefecture.
Q.6Where does your rapeseed oil come from?
We use non-genetically modified rapeseed raw material produced in Australia and the rapeseed oil is manufactured in Japan by the crushing method.
Q.7Must the rice flour mixture powder be refrigerated? What is its shelf life?
It can be stored at room temperature. Please keep it in a place that is not exposed to direct light, heat and has low humidity.
Its shelf life is 1 year from the manufacturing date. It is best to use it as soon as possible after opening.
Q.8Is the baking powder aluminum free?
We use wheat-free aluminum-free baking powder.
Q.9Does the sweet rice wine used contain alcohol?
The sweet rice wine used is wholly made from rice which is different from the sweet rice wine made using sake wine lees, so it does not contain alcohol.
Q.10What is raw carob powder?
It is made from the pod and pulp of the legume carob bean which is found on the Mediterranean coast. It may be described as a carob. When it is made into a powder form, it can be used as a substitute for cocoa powder in sweet foods as it has an elegant fragrance similar to cocoa powder.
