If you are prone to rough skin or will be using it for a long time, use cooking gloves.
If using running water, rinse for at least 5 seconds, or if using standing water, change the water and rinse at least twice.
For damaged painted surfaces (which may peel off) or wood products (which may discolor), test in an inconspicuous area.
