More Detail
Adopting a special "authentic sharpening" finish and newly developed "Suki" processing and "sharpening", it achieves sharp sharpness and speedy resharpening.
The handle is made of laminated reinforced wood with excellent fit and strength.
This is a knife made of split steel with a hard steel core and stainless steel sides that are rust resistant and easy to sharpen.
Higher hardness and corrosion resistance have been achieved.
It is the origin of Seki blacksmithing that swordsmiths who moved from Kyushu to Seki (Mino) during the Kamakura period started making swords in this area blessed with good quality soil, water and charcoal.
Many famous swords were born, but the master craftsman "Seki no Magoroku" devised a unique sword making, and brought out to the world the best craftsmanship with a high degree of artistry and sharpness.
From the Edo era to the Meiji era, many of the swordsmiths in Seki changed their jobs to the manufacture of household knives. The conviction that Seki's swords were praised for "not breaking, not bending, and cutting well" is firmly inherited in modern knife making.
This product, "Sekimagoroku", was signed by the 27th generation Kanemoto, the swordsmith Kinzokuroku, and conveys its sharpness to the present age while making use of the craftsmanship.
*This blade is made of steel, so it cuts well, but it rusts easily. After use, please remove the water well and store it.
