- Prednisolone valerate acetate (PVA) is an ``antedrug'' steroid that calms inflammation such as eczema and dermatitis.
[Antedrug]...A general term for drugs that exhibit anti-inflammatory effects on the affected area of the skin surface and then become less active when absorbed into the body. Therefore, it has the characteristic that it is less likely to cause the side effects peculiar to steroids.
The action of three anti-itch ingredients (diphenhydramine hydrochloride, crotamiton, and lidocaine) quickly soothes itching. In addition, isopropyl methylphenol sterilizes and disinfects unbearable scratches, and allantoin repairs rough skin tissue.
The cooling sensation of L-menthol and DL-camphor quickly soothes itching. - Precautions
